I like how this book shows the antique version of the quilt and then the more modern version of the same quilt. The history of the quilts is also interesting.I started making the Ocean Waves pattern using the instructions provided, had already cut my fat quarters into strips and started cutting with the suggested rulers, only to realize that cutting 800 of this and 160 of that was going to take me forever. I purchased an Accuquilt Go! and the 2 inch finished half square triangle die and finished cutting out my quilt pieces. I realize I didn't follow the exact cutting directions, but the directions provided in the book were easy to follow, minus the odd typos/errors here and there. The finished quilt turned out just a beautiful as the one in the book and the recipient was thrilled. Currently making another of the same Ocean Waves pattern from the book.None of the patterns in the book are new patterns, however the instructions are easy to follow and the resulting quilts are beautiful. They are easily made with precuts, yardage or scraps from your stash. I plan on making several of the quilts in the book and can't wait to start on them!
